Connect your phone to the desktop app so answers show on your phone while the computer takes screenshots.
You can use two devices together. The computer takes screenshots. Your phone shows the answers. In the app this is called “Second Screen Mode” (older app versions use a different name). Here we call it the two-device setup.
What you need
- The desktop app on your computer. See the download page.
- The InterviewStorm phone app, or another browser, signed in to the same account.
- Both devices online.
Start the two-device setup
On the computer:
- Click “Start Interview”.
- On “Select Mode”, choose the two-device option and start it.
- The app shows “Creating session…” and then “Waiting for client connection…”.
On the phone:
- Open InterviewStorm.
- A “Desktop Session” card appears. Tap “Connect”.
Back on the computer:
- A notice appears. The app window on the computer closes away after 20 seconds. Click “Got it” to agree, or “Cancel” to stop.
- To bring the window back, press Ctrl+B (Windows) or Cmd+B (Mac).
Use it
- On the phone, tap the “Screenshot” button.
- The computer takes a screenshot of its screen.
- The answer appears on the phone.
Screenshots are uploaded to secure storage so the AI can read them. See What InterviewStorm stores and what it does not.
End the session
Tap or click “End Session” on either device. Sessions left open are closed after 24 hours. Logging out also ends an open session.
If something goes wrong
- “Session Unresponsive”: close it and start a new session from the computer.
- “Still loading”: wait a moment, then check that both devices are online.
- You cannot find the window on the computer: press Ctrl/Cmd+B.
More help: Screenshots do not work.
Follow each employer’s interview rules. Do not use InterviewStorm in proctored tests, exams, or anywhere AI help is not allowed.
