Set the language InterviewStorm listens for and the language it writes answers in.
InterviewStorm has two language settings. They can be the same or different.
”Interview Language”
This is the language the app listens for. Choose the language the interviewer will speak.
- You can choose from 98 languages.
- You can choose more than one. This helps if the interview mixes languages.
”Answer Language”
This is the language the app writes answers in.
- If you chose only one interview language, answers use that language.
- If you chose more than one, pick which one the answers should use.
Example: the interview is in German, but you think faster in English. Set “Interview Language” to German and “Answer Language” to English. You read the answer in English and say it in German.
”English for Technical Terms”
This is on by default. Technical words stay in English, even when the answer is in another language. For example, words like “database” or “API” (a way for programs to talk to each other) stay in English.
Turn it off if you want every word in the answer language.
Where to set the languages
- You set them first during setup, at the language step.
- To change them later, open the app’s settings.
- You can also click “Revisit Onboarding” in Settings to run the setup again.
Tips
- Set the language before you press Play. Then the transcript (the written text of what is said) starts in the right language.
- Do a short practice session in the new language first.
- If the transcript shows the wrong words, check that “Interview Language” matches what the interviewer speaks.
