Understand why an InterviewStorm session stops or pauses, and what to do next.

Two messages can stop or pause your session. Here is what each one means.

”Trial ended”

This shows on the free trial. It appears in two cases:

  • One session reached 15 minutes. Each free session can last up to 15 minutes.
  • Your 20 free minutes are used up. You get 20 minutes in total, once, when you create your account. They do not come back each month.

How time is counted:

  • The clock starts when you first press Play on the Helper screen.
  • It runs until you leave the Helper screen, even if nobody is talking.

What you can do:

  • If you still have minutes left, start a new session from the Home screen. Home shows “TRIAL, N min remaining”.
  • To keep going without limits, choose the Unlimited plan. It costs $30, paid once, for one month of unlimited use. It is not a subscription, so nothing renews. See Plans and prices.

Paid users do not see this message. The Unlimited plan has no time limit.

”Still there?”

This shows when there is no activity for a while. The app pauses listening and asks if you want to keep going.

  • Click “Continue” to start listening again.
  • Click “End session” to stop.

In the desktop app, pressing any keyboard shortcut also counts as “Continue”.

This happens on all plans. It stops the app from listening when you have left.

Tips to save free minutes

  • Set up your resume and audio before you press Play.
  • Leave the Helper screen when you finish. The app asks “Close Interview?”. Click “Close”.
  • Use the trial to practice, not for a long real interview.
